Bank Holiday Monday May the 28th 2007 sees the first in a series of exhibitions showcasing a variety of images which display how Happisburgh is ever changing from erosion, weather, light and the changing seasons.
The exhibition will take place at St Mary's Church in Happisburgh and is a joint venture between TheUKlandscape.com and The Happisburgh Lighthouse Trust. 20% of all print sales will go directly to the Happisburgh lighthouse Trust.
The exhibition will coincide with both open days for the lighthouse and St Mary's Church. Framed, mounted and unmounted prints will be available to purchase on the day from inside the church.

The village of Happisburgh on the Norfolk Coast is fighting a constant battle with nature. Over the last few years the wooden sea defences have been failing and large chunks of the sandy cliffs are regularly falling into the sea.
The battle with the sea can be seen all around Happisburgh, along the beach you will see many of the sea defences most have now been washed up onto the beach and only small sections survive, often standing on their own out at sea. As well as witnessing mans efforts to fight the erosion you can also witness how the sea affects the local population. Walk along Happisburgh beach and you will often be able to see the remains of peoples houses and belongings that have been lost to Nature.

The landscape at Happisburgh is ever changing more so than any other place I have ever photographed. This exhibition will display a series of different pictures from Happisburgh and the local area. My photography will not only show how the time of the year effects Happisburgh it will also demonstrate the power of Nature and Happisburgh's constant struggle with the sea.

Above all for me Happisburgh remains one of the most beautiful locations on the Norfolk Coast and I hope to convey this beauty in my photographs.

More details about the exhibition can be found in the May edition of Suffolk & Norfolk Life magazine along with a front cover image and a number of images inside the magazine.
