2010 One Day Photography Workshops One day workshops are based on the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads & the Norfolk & Suffolk Coast The workshops are aimed at all levels of photographers from beginners to experienced photographers. We cover Digital Photography & Film Photography and concentrate on working in the field on techniques such as exposure, metering, lens choice, camera use / techniques and filter use. Workshop numbers are kept to a maximum of just six participants to allow plenty of time & tuition for individuals. Workshop dates have been carefully chosen to coincide with ideal tide times or sunrise / sunset positions. All workshops include at least one dawn and dusk shoot. Field notes to refer back to are sent out following the workshops and all guests are welcome to contact the office via email with any questions, advice or for critique on their images for an unlimited time period. I always enjoy staying in touch with photographers and seeing their images and I am always happy to help where I can. 2011 Spring & Summer One Day Landscape Photography Workshops
Spring & Summer one day workshops are similar to my standard one day photography workshops however they are slightly shorter as they run in the spring and summer months when generally the length of the day means it would not be convenient or comfortable for participants if we started at dawn. Therefore all workshops start during daylight hours and finish after sunset. The workshops are aimed at all levels of photographers from beginners to experienced photographers. We will concentrate on working in the field on techniques such as exposure, metering, lens choice, camera use / techniques and filter use. Workshop numbers will be kept to a maximum of just six participants to allow plenty of time & tuition for individuals. Workshop dates have been carefully chosen to coincide with ideal tide times or sunrise / sunset positions. Spring & Summer Landscape Photography Workshops typically last for around five hours. Each workshop will include a sunset shoot and each workshop is carefully chosen to ensure strong opportunities at the chosen location for that time of the day and the time of the year. Following the workshops all guests are welcome to contact the office via email with any questions, advice or for critique on their images for an unlimited time period. This is a new photography course I am adding for 2010. The workshop is based at the newly refurbished three star Virginia Court Hotel in Cromer. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the photogenic Cromer Pier. The workshop will begin at midday on Friday and finish on Sunday Afternoon. The workshop is limited to just six participants, and includes all accommodation with private ensuite rooms and all meals included. This workshop will cover locations on both the Norfolk Broads & the Norfolk Coast. To register your interest please do not hesitate to contact the office. Our mode of transport throughout this outstanding course led by professional photographer Chris Herring is one of the broads largest cruisers, equipped with all the comforts of home including three toilets and fresh water showers on board. All accommodation is in private cabins. By using this unique leisurely mode transport we are able to navigate entire area at a pace which will maximise our photographic opportunities.. The landscape of the Norfolk is unique and like no other area in the UK, the area is a rich haven for wildlife and the wonderful drainage mills / windmills along with the broads themselves both make for excellent landscape opportunities. The workshops are aimed at photographers of all levels beginners and advanced alike. The workshops cater for all levels of experience, by ensuring that group numbers are kept to a maximum of just six participants ensures that there is lots of available time and tuition for individuals. One to one private photography tuition is available throughout the Norfolk & Suffolk area. One to one tuition is structured around the client’s individual needs and is available to suit both beginners and the more experienced photographer. The day can be structured to include locations on either the Norfolk Broads, the Norfolk Coast or the Suffolk Coast. Two to one tuition can also be provided upon request. Wit 100% of Chris’s attention you will quickly be able to develop and enhance your skills at your own pace throughout the day. Basic post production work of raw files and Photoshop work can also be included on the day.
I am flexible with One To One Tuition days so should the weather not look promising on your chosen day or you are no longer able to make your chosen day then as long as 48 hours notice is given all days can be rearranged with no additional charge. The duration of one day one on one workshops vary depending on the time of year, standard one day workshops normally include either a sunrise or sunset shoot and last approx 5 - 8 hours. One day one to one workshops can also be split across two days and can even be split across different times of the year. Splitting one to one tuition over two three or four hour sessions across different dates means participants can visit completely different locations with completely different weather conditions. Half Day One To One Workshops include either a sunrise or sunset shoot and are aimed at those photographers who want to shoot in the best available light and learn at a fast and productive pace. They also mean the day is generally not as long, especially when combined with travel both before and after the workshops. A Half day one to one workshop shoot lasts approximately 3 - 4 hours, sometimes longer depending on the lighting conditions. Half day workshops also include full notes and unlimited email support both before and after the workshop. Field notes to refer back to are available for all workshops. Following the workshops all guests are welcome to contact the office via email with any questions, advice or for critique on their images for an unlimited time period.
